Yesterday I started my first micro-resolutions and I was surprised by the results.
Mondays are never fun and yesterday was the same.
First thing this morning I weighed myself. OH BOY! That wasn’t pretty. It was the most that I have ever weighed. I don’t feel like I weigh that much, but the scale doesn’t lie.
My goals for this week are:
– 2 cups of coffee a day
– 3 cans of soda a day
– substitute water for the three drinks I’ve removed.
How did it go?
Surprisingly, it went well. I thought it was going to be rough, because I got up earlier than normal and was overly tired. Thought I might have to inhale some sodas to help me wake up. After a shower and the drive to work I was okay.
I held off having my first caffeine drink (soda) until 1 hour 25 minutes after waking up. I figured I should try not to grab a drink first thing when I wake up and try to break that habit too. Today went really well for that. It’s the weekends that might be tougher, but we’ve got four more days of this to go before then.
I enjoyed my drinks. I didn’t chug them and made them last. The first soda only made it thirty minutes, but everything else lasted at least an hour.
At the end of the day I’ve surpassed my goals.
I consumed 1 cup of coffee (out of 2), 2 cans of soda (out of 3), and 8 glasses of water (out of 3).
I didn’t guzzle water down just to do it. I drank the water between the other drinks to stretch them out throughout the day.
Fingers crossed that I can keep this up.
